Every year, our Tree of Life can be found shining brightly for everyone who visits our hospital around the holidays. It embodies feelings of hope, healing, and remembrance in our community, and it’s also an important fundraising opportunity that benefits the CRMC Foundation.
The annual Illumination Ceremony is when we light the Tree of Life in honor of loved ones, living or deceased, on the grounds of our hospital campus. It’s usually an in-person event, but due to the ongoing pandemic, we’ve decided to make our Illumination Ceremony virtual this year.
How to Watch the Virtual Illumination Ceremony
Join us on Wednesday, December 9, at 5:30 p.m. via Facebook Live to recognize someone who has touched your life.
The event will be closed to the public, but we’ll be broadcasting on UM Charles Regional Medical Center’s Facebook page, so you can watch live as we shine a light into the night in honor or memory of our loved ones.
Purchasing a Light for the Tree of Life
We invite you to purchase a light to help us illuminate the Tree of Life. Lights start at $15 each, and each purchase will help fund improvements in emergency and behavioral health services and reduce barriers to care through health initiatives for our expanding community.
Lights and luminaries can be purchased directly on the CRMC Foundation’s website or with this printable form mailed to P.O. Box 1701, La Plata, MD 20646.
Have questions or want to make a donation over the phone? Please call the CRMC Foundation office at (301) 609-4132.
