Happy National Doctors’ Day!
First observed in 1933, National Doctors’ Day was officially recognized by President George H.W. Bush and U.S. Congress in 1990. Together, they proclaimed March 30 to be a day of appreciation and recognition for medical professionals across the country, making today the perfect time to thank all those who work so hard in health care.
Doctors and medical professionals on our team diagnose, treat and care for thousands of patients in Southern Maryland throughout the year. And whether they practice for our hospital, UM Charles Regional Urgent Care, UM Community Medical Group or one of the many UM Medical System practices across the region, we are so proud of all those who are helping us make Maryland a better, healthier place to live.
We celebrate National Doctors’ Day only once a year, but we know how hard doctors work to keep us healthy all year long. That’s why we hope you’ll join us today in saying “thank you” to your doctor for his or her continued commitment to health and wellness in our community.
